Middle Temple Court & Gardens

It's hard to believe that behind the busy street is a beautiful, tranquil and actually fairly quiet courtyards and gardens. So it's a bit of a maze going through Temple courts - and there's several entrances, and whilst my directions may be confusing, I have put an interactive map at the bottom with lovely clear directions.
Going through the above entrance on Fleet Street will bring you out at this Courtyard, with the stunning Temple Church (built by the Knights Templar). This is the first of a few lovely courtyards to come, and all worth seeing, so bear with me.

You'll see the below passageway hidden in the top right corner opposite the entrance to the Temple Church.

This is Pump Court, which holds a quaint little garden with a few benches. Walk down the steps and past the gardens and keep heading straight and you'll eventually come out at Middle Temple Court (below)

There's a lovely water fountain at the end of the courtyard and if you look to the left of the fountain you will see Middle Temple Gardens.
These gorgeous gardens are open to the public weekdays from 12:00-15:00 during May, June, July & September. These gardens, like the Inner Temple Gardens (blog coming) are beautiful, have benches to sit on, are on the edge of Embankment. With the entrance tucked away it doesn't get busy with tourists.
