So the husband and I are fans of finding the back roads to walk through to avoid the overcrowded paths, especially in areas like Covent Garden & Leicester Square. What's more not only will it not be busy on this route, but you get to walk through these cute little alleyways that make you think you've stepped back in time, or onto the Harry Potter film set. As with all my nooks and crannies spots, they can be a little tricky to navigate, so rather than me making a mess of describing it, please see the bottom of the page for the interactive map.
So the route below will guide you from one of the back roads of Covent Garden (aka directly opposite the back entrance of TK Maxx) to Cecil Court (a pedestrian only street with lovely book stores and music scores shops right by Leicester Square).
The pub is called The Lamb and Flag and apparently was one of Charles Dickins' locals. As you walk through Lazenby Court alleyway be sure to duck your head.
If you keep following the map to the next nook and crannie, it will bring you too my favourite Goodwin Court
As you will see - I'm definitely not claiming for this to be a short cut by any means, but a fun slight diversion through some lovely old and often forgotten streets.
