The original church was built in 1100, and then was damaged during the Great Fire of London and partially repaired, however by the early 19th century the church had to be torn down and rebuilt. Then during World War II, like a lot of London, a large part of St Dunstan's was destroyed during the Blitz and so it was decided to turn the ruins of the church into a public garden.
This gorgeous retreat is hidden right in the heart of London and is a short walk from Monument station.

Closet station: Monument/ Fenchurch Street
